At its heart is the Market Square and the famous Moot Hall, with its famous one-handed clock. Keswick boasts a number of fine restaurants, public houses and shops, most centred around Market Square and Main Street. It has an excellent reputation for outdoor equipment and clothing, from its plethora of outdoor shops and outlets.
At the lakeshore, you can also choose a leisurely lakeshore walk, a laze in Crow Park with stunning vies of the lake and the fells beyond or a trip on the Keswick Launch to a number of destinations around Derwentwater, including stop offs in the Borrowdale valley, the valley Ruskin proclaimed to be the most beautiful in England.
Keswick is awash with festivals and events to interest and please most - the Jazz festival, the Film Festival, the Beer Festival, the Religious Convention and many more.
Keswick's unique location on the shores of Derwentwater lake, surrounded by the northern Lakeland fells, make it ideal for all types of visitors, from those seeking quiet enjoyment in the beauty of the landscape to those wanting a bit more out of its many offerings; e.g. walkers, climbers, photographers, mountain bikers and paragliders
