West View Guest House****
West View has eight en suite rooms all with tea/coffee, TV, central heating, radio, hairdryer. One room is on the ground floor. The large Guest Lounge is available all day for rest and planning.
The room has a large collection of books from football and rock & roll to history, law, and chemistry! Of course we have zillions of books on the local area and attractions. We can help with plans for walks, drives, bike rides, or just mooching about the town. If you get wet we can dry your clothes, and we have a box of spares for you to borrow if you forget your favourite sock or glove.
We can also store your mountain bikes securely under cover. You can also hire them locally of you wish.
West View is totally non-smoking. We welcome alternative appetites and we cater for vegetarians, gluten-free, dairy-free etc. Our breakfasts have gotten great reviews in our Visitor Book and you will never leave hungry.
We have a couple of dogs (retrievers) whose worst crime is to want to lick you, but we don't accept guest pets. We have no cats!
We accept Visa, MasterCard and Maestro/Switch.
Keswick is the ideal location to explore the most beautiful valley in the Lakes - Borrowdale, and to climb the highest peak in England - Scafell Pike. The boat service on Derwent water runs all year allowing you to hop on and off to climb the surrounding fells such as Walla Crag and Catbells. The Theatre on the lake shore has a full calendar of events.
Keswick has a broad appeal with the Jazz Festival, Film Festival, Mountain Festival, Victorian Fare, Beer Festival, and the Keswick Convention.
