Sandra and Tim Shaw welcome you to Meadfoot Guesthouse, where we offer a relaxed and informal bed and breakfast experience.

Positioned just outside Windermere village, the guest house is set in its own grounds with ample parking, large gardens with lots of mature trees and shrubs, and a large patio with summerhouse and garden furniture for guest use.

Guests staying at Meadfoot are offered complimentary use of Parklands Country Club with its extensive facilities including pool, sauna and spa bath, just 5 minutes drive away in Bowness.

The beautiful breakfast room has a unique situation with patio doors opening onto a balcony with spectacular views of the garden. There is a comprehensive breakfast menu and breakfast is often highly praised in our guest book.

All bedrooms are en-suite with flat screen TVs and are beautifully decorated and furnished with extremely comfortable beds. The views from all the bedrooms are of the garden, not the car park or the road.

Meadfoot is recommended by 'The Rough Guide to the Lake District’, the Guardian bed and breakfast directory and 'The Good Guide to the Lakes'.

Meadfoot is easily accessible to Windermere railway station and bus station, being about a 5-minute walk or a £3 taxi ride. It is about a 2-minute walk into Windermere village with its numerous shops, pubs and restaurants. Bowness is also an approximately 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive away with its extensive facilities and also Bowness Bay, The Glebe and Lake Windermere.
