We offer the choice of three good sized bedrooms with en-suite and private bathrooms and a tasty breakfast selection sourced from local produce. All bedrooms have a flat screen TV with free view channels and Wi-Fi internet access is available at no extra charge.
The town of Ulverston is a traditional market town with plenty of shops, restaurants, coffee houses and pubs. It is also the start of the Cumbrian Way, home to the Stan Laurel Museum and the worlds shortest deepest canal. The town is also famous for being a festival town and amongst the various annual celebrations there is a walking festival, a flag festival and the impressive Lantern Procession.
A 20 minute drive takes you into the Lake District with all its beauty and potential for outdoor activities. Because we are passionate about this incredible resource on our doorstop we welcome walkers, cyclists and all outdoor sports enthusiasts to come and enjoy the nations Adventure Capital!
We welcome you to walk up the Old Man of Coniston, mountain bike in Grizedale forest and kayak the many rivers and lakes within a 15 mile radius of Red Lion House.
We are also close to Barrow in Furness where you can visit the award winning Dock Museum.
Other places within a 20 minute drive include the quaint village of Cartmel with its 12 century Priory and famous French cuisine from L'Enclume.
Nearby is the small town of Grange Over Sands with its specialist shops, impressive water garden/duck pond and a lovely promenade.
