Elder Grove is a family-run guest house offering you wonderful bed and breakfast in Ambleside. The accommodation is warm and welcoming, homely yet with the service of a small hotel, making this Bed and Breakfast a fantastic location for your holiday or weekend break in the Lake District.

Your hosts Paul and Vicky McDougall, who have lived in the Lake District all their lives and have a wealth of catering experience, have taken Elder Grove to a new level in offering a little more than a traditional B & B. The house itself is a distinct, detached Lakeland building, built in the late 1800's and still retaining many original features but with all the convenience of today's contemporary living.

The bedrooms are situated on the 1st and 2nd floors of the building being a comfortable size with standard double bed king size, twins or single beds, chairs and ample hanging and draw space, all the rooms are individually decorated in warm tones and finished with a home from home modern feel, and all have good size en-suite bathrooms with bath & shower attachments. When your looking for something a little special we have 2 four poster rooms, the first more traditional with a Victorian half tester canopy bed & leather chairs, the second with a contemporary four poster bed & sofa, both rooms have bathrooms finished to a high standard. Or try our new doubles with king size beds all situated at the back of the house on the 1st or 2nd floor

All rooms have digital T.V. hot drinks tray, hairdryers and information folders
