A hearty home cooked breakfast using locally sourced produce is provided at a time to suit you - evening meals and packed lunches by prior arrangement.
Rural location ideally situated for walking, bird watching and cycling (safe overnight bike store provided free of charge), with a local frequent bus route within walking distance.

Directions: Powter Howe is located just off the route of the old A66. Taking the A66 west bound towards Workington, pass Keswick and Portinscale. At Braithwaite take the third left turn signed towards Thornthwaite Galleries. Follow the road through Thornthwaite and at the Swan House turn right. There is a small white sign for Powter Howe. Follow the lane all the way down and around to the left. There is plenty of off street parking. Make your way along the front of the house to the door with the B&B sign.
