Glendale Guest House
Glendale is a quality B&B accommodation with an international reputation in a quiet location only minute's walk from the Town centre of Keswick and the lakeshore of Derwent Water. Many walks to the fells are easily accessed directly from the house without the use of a car. The public transport in the area is superb and you can get around the area using a combination of buses and the Keswick Launch.
Many restaurants, shops and attractions are within a few minutes walk. Including the Moot Hall, Pencil Museum, Keswick Museum & Gallery, The Puzzling Place, Cars of the Stars Museum and the new James Bond Museum.
Our comfortable B&B offers comfortable rooms which all have en-suite or private shower/bathroom. All our rooms are centrally heated and have TV, tea/coffee making, hairdryers and many other features.
Breakfast is taken in our dining room where you can choose from a full Cumberland breakfast or a lighter option of eggs or Croissant with jam. Freshly ground coffee or tea is available in plentiful supply.
Keswick in the Northern Lakes is situated at the head of Derwent Water, which is widely considered 'The Jewel Of The Lakes'. A motor launch can take you across the lake to walk on the Fells or just a gentle stroll on the lakeshore. Bassenthwaite Lake is just two miles away. Buttermere, Crummock Water, Lowes Water, Thirlmere, Ullswater and Grasmere are all within easy reach by car or regular Bus service.
Please come and visit our Website where you will see many photos of our house and much more information on the house and the wider area. The History of Keswick is a fascinating story and we have a short version on our Website. Links to more photos, walks etc are also available.
Your hosts Martin & Gilly are always on hand to advise on days out, Buses, Restaurants, Theatre and our many attractions.
