Simply sightseeing by car or bus through the beautiful countryside of the Lake District from Windermere to Wasdale and visiting everything from Wordsworth to Wildlife.
Come for a romantic break, to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, or just to get away and relax after the hustle and bustle of city life.
Craglands is situated only 10 minutes walk from the town centre where you will find an interesting selection of shops, several museums a cinema and theatre.
Only a further 5 minute walk will take you to the shores of one of the most beautiful lakes in England - Derwent water, looking down toward the breathtaking Borrowdale Valley. The walking possibilities are endless to suit all capabilities. From a leisurely stroll around Derwent water to the more strenuous climbs in the surrounding fells - even England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike.
There are daily-guided walks suitable for all levels of experience from the centre of Keswick from Easter to the end of October.
There are many other recreational options. The leisure pool in the town, Keswick's 18-hole golf course, 9 hole Pitch and Putt and Crazy Golf in Hope Park, bowls, tennis, and putting in Fitz Park. Also nearby can be found pony trekking, cycling (secure cycle storage available), paragliding and a variety of water sports.
At Craglands Guest House you can choose between double, twin bedded and single rooms - all with superb views of the surrounding English Lake District. Each room has been individually named after a crag on England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike, in the nearby Borrowdale Valley.
All bedrooms have colour television, hairdryer and radio/alarm clock together with a hospitality tray of biscuits and Fair Trade tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
You will also find fluffy white towels, shampoo and soap have been provided for your convenience.
Due to our stunning elevated position, we are unable to offer any ground floor accommodation. Please inform us if you have any disability, special diet or other requirement that we can assist with to add to your comfort during your stay.

Here you can enjoy a hearty breakfast served to suit your day's plan at either 8am or 9am - or even earlier on request!
You can make your choice each morning from our breakfast menu which offers a wide selection of home made, locally sourced and Fair Trade produce.
Any special diets can be catered for with a little advance notice - vegetarian and vegan, cealiac, dairy, nut, gluten and yeast free.
For those guests heading for the fells or on a full day outing, take advantage of the convenience of a home baked packed lunch until you return to Keswick for dinner.
We will gladly offer advice on where to dine out in Keswick and the surrounding area - we can also book a table for you whenever possible.
