Glebe End B+B
A warm welcome awaits you at Glebe End Bed and Breakfast. We are situated in the village of Great Longstone in the heart of the Peak District National Park.
We have a large and spacious en-suite ground floor double/family room. This room will sleep up to five - sleeping accommodation comprises of 1 x double bed and 3 x single beds. Families are very welcome. The room has with its own private entrance and there is ample off road parking in the drive.
Your breakfast is freshly cooked for you on our AGA and served to you in our garden room. All produce is locally sourced where possible and bread and preserves are home made.
Chatsworth House, Bakewell -famous for its puddings, Haddon Hall and Monsal Head are only a short distance away. Further a field you can explore Eyam, Buxton with its Opera House, the caverns of Castleton, Peak Rail at Matlock and the Heights of Abraham at Matlock Bath.
There is a network of footpaths round Great Longstone village and many of these can be accessed directly from Glebe End. You are invited to leave your car in the drive and walk from the door step. A different walk in a new direction each day. Destinations /suggestions, maps and guide books are available.
The Monsal Trail - a disused railway with 6 tunnels - is a walking/cycling track of 8.5 miles is just a short walk around the corner. The Trail also allows easy off road access to Bakewell.
There are 2 pubs in the village, the Crispin and the White Lion, both serve good food and a 3rd, The Packhorse, serving local Thornbridge beers, is a short walk away in Little Longstone.
