The Castleton
Welcome to The Castleton Swanage truly a 'once discovered, never forgotten' place to stay. A lovely Victorian home with ten rooms, all en-suite. They range from a single to family rooms, also a twin (or superking) on the ground floor for those who aren't so keen on the stairs.
A delightful escape from everyday life, where the welcoming nature and friendliness of your hosts, will add to your pleasure.

There is a spacious & sunny lounge with glimpses of Swanage Bay for guests to use at all times, settle down with a book or a board game or a film from our large collection...ideal for those 'rare' wet day's!
Swanage has many delights to suit the young, and the young at heart! We have a beautiful sandy blue flag beach, the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site, South West coastal path, and we are surrounded by the beautiful Purbeck Hills.
Lulworth Cove is but a short drive away. We also have excellent diving waters, boat trips to various destinations, or for fishing trips.
The Castleton is an excellent base for bird watchers, (RSPB reserve at Arne is less than 10 miles away), ramblers, (we have some amazing walks), rock climbers, golfers, and for sailing, windsurfing or just exploring the many historic, beautiful and exciting attractions like Corfe Castle, and Brownsea Island, (both used by Enid Blyton in her Famous Five books, with different names, as she spent several weeks a year here on holiday).
The wonderful steam railway runs from Swanage to Corfe Castle, its a journey back in time just to walk onto the platform! You can also fulfil your lifelong ambition and book in to actually drive the train! Or enjoy a scrummy meal on one of their many evening Wessex Belle dining trains.
