The Channel Guest House

The Channel is a Dorset bed and breakfast situated in a beautiful grade II listed Georgian town house. Originally built in 1797 and located on Weymouth’s famous Esplanade, our bed and breakfast is opposite the sandy beach and looks out over Weymouth Bay, which is a view which has to be experienced to be fully appreciated.

As a family run bed and breakfast we’re here to provide a warm welcome in comfortable surroundings and to make your time within the house and in Weymouth a memorable experience that will have you wanting to come back again and again. Our bed and breakfast visitors book has many entries that tell us how comfortable the stay was, how good the food was and that it was like a “home from home”.

We hold 3 stars from Visit Britain, a coveted GOLD award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme for our work to run the house in an environmentally friendly manner. We also are accredited by the Jurassic Coast Quality Business Scheme for the quality of the services we offer and we are accredited by the Direct from Dorset scheme for our local produce that we serve at breakfast.

All of the rooms are ensuite, have professionally fitted bedroom furniture which was all renewed recently, new flat panel LCD TVs, tea/coffee making facilities and many of our rooms have 2 seat leather sofas in them too, in order to enhance your comfort whilst staying with us.

The house has free wireless internet access available to all rooms for your convenience and we will supply you with a parking permit on arrival which means your parking is also free whilst you stay with us.

We are close to rail and bus terminus links, and only a very short level walk into the town centre. There are many restaurants, cafe's and bars in very close proximity to the house for your convenience and many of which we are able to advise you on depending upon your requirements.
