Appletree Cottage is a pretty thatched character cottage (formerly a 17th century village ale house) in the peaceful village of Winterborne Zelston, Dorset which has a 14th century church, pub, village green, duck pond and sits on the River Winterborne.

Appletree Cottage bed & breakfast is a short distance from the picturesque Purbecks which feature attractions such as Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove, Swanage Steam Railway, Blue Pool and includes spectacular coastal walks and bike rides along the world heritage Jurassic Coast.

We are also within easy reach of the coastal resorts of Poole with it's Quay, Natural Harbour (which is one of the largest in the world) and Brownsea Island, Bournemouth with its Pier and beaches and Sandbanks with its beach and ferry to Shell Bay and a short drive from Weymouth with its Sea Life Park, Dorchester (Dorsets county town) with the Dorset County Museum, Dinosaur Museum and Tutankhamun Exhibition, Blandford with the Royal Signals Museum and Hall & Woodhouse Brewery, Wimborne with its market, Minster and Model Town, Wareham and Swanage.
