Bed & Breakfast Weymouth
BB Weymouth is a four-star boutique Bed and Breakfast just yards from the beach, and ten minutes from the station.
Our pet-friendly B&B offers a range of activity weekends such as foraging, photography, cooking, coasteering and fishing, and now offers dinner to our guests as well.
B&B Weymouth is part of the BB-Collection, a group of three Bed and Breakfasts run by like-minded hoteliers. The boutique Bed and Breakfasts can be found in Weymouth, Belgravia in London, and Edinburgh, and each aspire to change the way people think about Bed and Breakfast accommodation. We offer modern, contemporary environments at B&B prices.
B&B Weymouth also offers guests a lounge bar, with a range of locally sourced wines and beers, including the award-winning Jurassic Bitter, brewed down the road. Our dinner menu is equally locally sourced, showcasing the many flavours of Dorset.
Why Weymouth and Why Dorset?
The Jurassic Coast is England's first and only UNESCO World Heritage site, and is one of great historic interest, With over 90 miles of stunning coastline, from East Devon to Dorset, it is a geologist's dream, with some of the oldest rocks in Europe.
Often referred to as England's 'Bay of Naples' Weymouth Bay was originally a fishing village, but grew in stature as it became the holiday destination of King George III. He eventually purchased Gloucester Lodge on the Esplanade from his brother, the Duke of Gloucester, making Weymouth even more fashionable.
There is a statue of King George II which was erected in 1810 to mark the 50th ear of his reign, and is located just outside the Bed and Breakfast. Indeed, there is also a carving of a chalk figure of horse and rider in the hillside just outside Weymouth. King George was said to be disappointed - not because it was a depiction of himself, but because the rider was seen to be leaving Weymouth!
