Wheelwrights Bed & Breakfast
Welcome to Wheelwrights, a newly renovated bed and breakfast in Chideock. The property has been in the Hussey family for over 300 years and was once a thriving carpentry business for Martin Hussey’s grandfather where he built wagons for horse and carts.
The B&B has two spacious double rooms, one with ensuite and the other with a private bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities are available as well as TV in both rooms. Views to the cliffs to Thorncombe Beacon and beyond can be seen and there is a level walk to Seatown and the Anchor Inn which takes approximately 15 minutes.
Two other public houses in village all serving excellent food. Parking at Wheelwrights is available also.
Breakfast is served between 8 am and 9:30 am in the dining room with two separate tables and includes cereals, juices, teas and coffees etc with full English breakfast (or variations of).
Places to visit would be west Bay our nearest Harbour where the TV drama Broardchurch was filmed, also Lyme Regis with its famous Cob reaching out into Lyme Bay. Also where The French Lieutenant’s woman was filmed.
And of course our main town of Bridport with its wide streets and market days on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
Chideock itself is full of it's own history.
