The Victorian Town House
The Victorian Town House has recently been renovated to a high standard and is set in the heart of the World Heritage site of Durham's majestic cathedral and castle. Recently awarded four stars and a Gold Award it stands a five minute walk from both train station and city centre.
Twin, Family and Double Rooms are available, providing luxury en-suite accommodation in a mixture of traditional elegance and contemporary style. Each room has an LCD television, equipped with Freeview and DVD. The two double rooms have excellent views of the cathedral.

It is ideally situated for visits to the Cathedral, Castle, University (Graduation and Freshers Days) Beamish Museum and for competitors in The Great North Run and the Durham Regatta. Ideal too for visiting Newcastle, the Northumberland coast, Bamburgh and Alnwick castles, Lindisfarne ( Holy Island) and the Farne Islands. Durham is also an excellent place to stay for sport.
The Riverside, home to Durham County Cricket Club and occasional Test Matches, is only a 20 minute ride away. Sunderland, Newcastle and Middlesbrough football grounds are within easy reach as is Kingston Park, home to Newcastle Falcons RFC

Directions: The Victorian Town House can be found from the A1 (M) by leaving at junction 62 and following the signs for Durham. On entering the city centre, follow the signs for the train station. Ignore the station approach road and turn left just past the County Hospital onto Western Hill. Turn right when you reach the first house and The Victorian Town House is immediately on your right.
