Joined-Up Holidays offers a range of short break options at our large comfortable B&B and includes the opportunity to meet our rare breed farm animals and friendly ponies.
Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty beside Hamsterley Forest with it's many miles of off road tracks and trails it is ideal for wildlife enthusiasts, walkers, cyclists and horse riders. There are also paths in the forest and nearby that are suitable for children, families and wheelchair users.
Our single storey barn conversion is eco-friendly and accessible as it has wide doorways, level entry showers, grab rails, ramps and extra turning room for wheelchairs. Secure parking for cars, trailers and horseboxes is available in a locked yard and there is secure storage for bikes and saddles. Drying facilities for coats and boots etc are available and there is free wi-fi access in the living room and kitchen.
There are many places of interest for visitors nearby such as High Force- England's highest waterfall and Raby Castle - one of the country's finest medieval castles and deer park. Maps of Hamsterley Forest and the local area can be provided on request. There are also many good local pubs and restaurants while Barnard Castle, a historic market town is only 8 miles away.
Packed lunches are available and drinks flasks can be made up/topped up as required and there are facilities to heat baby food or milk. All rooms have a tea tray and colour TV which includes children's channels, other books, games and DVD's are available on request.
A full English breakfast with local produce including our own bacon, eggs and sausages is include in the room price and vegetarian or other dietary options can also be catered for. We hope you will enjoy your stay and want to return again and again.
