The Cottage

The Cottage overlooks the village green in Rushlake Green, a tiny picturesque village set in the beautiful countryside of East Sussex.

The Cottage is just 200 yards from the village pub, renowned for its fine food. Other charming country pubs are close by - we would be delighted to make reservations for you.

Our guests are accommodated in beautiful double rooms with full en-suite facilities. Both have king size beds, one a four-poster. Every home comfort is provided: TV, tea/coffee making facilities, mineral water, sherry, hair dryer and robes.

Guests have exclusive use of a pretty drawing room with views of the garden. This room has TV/DVD player, books and games. You are welcome to sit and relax in our large tranquil garden.

Full English or Continental breakfast is provided, AGA-cooked and using locally sourced organic produce wherever possible.

The Cottage is an ideally situated country retreat. The Channel Tunnel, Dover, Gatwick and Heathrow are within easy reach, making The Cottage an ideal touring base. The historic, charming towns of Brighton, Tunbridge Wells, Battle, Hastings and Rye are within 30 minutes drive, as are the South Downs and Ashdown Forest for wonderful walks, as well as a network of local footpaths.

Ample parking. Special facilities available for cyclists and walkers, including secure storage for bikes and facilities for drying clothes. Sorry, no pets (we have two cats). Children with well-behaved parents very welcome - travel cot and high chair available.
