The May Garland Inn
The May Garland Inn is a lovely old country inn now restored and refurbished but entirely retaining its original character. We are now offering new ensuite bedrooms which have been created in the stables block and in the old barn. These are clean warm and comfortable in a simple modern style. Each one has its own bathroom ensuite, flat screen TV iPod clock/charger/speaker dock and king sized bed. The larger bedrooms have a sofa/beds which make an extra bed for a third guest or child in the room.
Our Large traditional pub bar is comfortably furnished with sofas as well as numerous tables and chairs and a grand piano.
Great locally sourced fresh food is cooked from scratch in our kitchen, full of flavour and interest without any pretension. We also have range of snacks lighter bites and sharing dishes on offer. Food is available all day from breakfast right through until 20:45.
Real ales with Harveys Best always featured as well as good guest ales selected every month. These are offered together with Coors Light, Carling and Grolsch which are our draught lagers. Gaymers Old English (though less promoted than some, is a great cider – just ask for a free sample) is on draught as is Guinness extra cold. We serve a wide range of good winesby the glass an by the bottle and premium spirits are always served.
We are family run and family friendly. Outside you can enjoy our lovely garden which has a super kids play area with swings, slides, climbing feature enclosed by a fence for safety. We also have just built a huge solid oak veranda which makes the out door space pleasant to use even when the weather is not perfect.
