Eastdale Bed & Breakfast
Whether you are staying in East Yorkshire for business or leisure, you will find our location ideal for travelling into the Hull area, Hessle, Beverley or further afield if you wish to explore East Yorkshire. There are very many places to visit and, having lived in Melton for many years, we have a good local knowledge of where best to go. There are lots of excellent places to eat and drink. Just around the corner from the house, there is a sports centre - just a 5 minute walk away.
Walkers will be interested to know that we are just a 'stone's throw' from the Yorkshire Wolds Way, making Eastdale a perfect place to stay for one or two nights. There are also many other lovely places to walk in the vicinity.
Cyclists are very welcome and we have sheltered and locked cycle storage available. We have a selection of cycle route maps for very many locations throughout East Yorkshire, graded from easy to challenging.
Wild bird fans will love sitting having breakfast whilst watching a number of different birds visiting our bird feeders. There are RSPB sites within easy travelling distance where many other birds can be seen. Bempton Cliffs on the East Coast is a particular destination of interest.
Hull, Hessle and Beverley are all nice places to shop. Hull has three indoor shopping centres, plus several museums in the historic old town, where there are still some cobbled streets. There is also a marina, and Queens gardens are a lovely haven to sit in and eat a sandwich, or just watch the world go by.
The Deep in Hull is well worth visiting. It is a very large deep aquarium housing sharks, manta rays and many unusual deep sea creatures. There are also some penguins and you can see them in a very authentic Antarctic setting.
If you enjoy historic cities, York is well worth a visit, with many attractions. The old city walls still remain and are a striking feature. Whilst you are there, it would be a mistake not to visit Betty's tearooms - we can personally recommend the experience!
If you go across the Humber Bridge, you can visit Lincoln, another very interesting city with lots of unusual shops. The Humber Bridge itself is a sight to see. At its foot there is a Country Park known as 'Little Switzerland', alongside the river, which is very pleasant to walk around.
It is our aim to do all we can to make your stay with us an enjoyable experience and should there be anything you need, just ask and we will do our best to help.
Please let us know at the time of booking if you have any special dietary requirements.
