Dairy House Farm Bed & Breakfast

Dairy House is a spacious Victorian farmhouse with views of the countryside in every direction. Alan and our son Ben work the land and Bridget offers bed and breakfast in the farmhouse - the kettle is always on the boil and there is homemade cake for tea on arrival to settle you in and make you welcome.

Both our rooms are ensuite and have hospitality trays, remote control colour television, clock-radios, comfortable chairs and views of the evening sunsets in our magnificent East Anglian sky.

Manningtree Station is 4.5 miles from here and from there it is just one hour by train to London Liverpool Street so a day in London is easy if you are so inclined ..or visit the beautiful garden of the internationally renowned Beth Chatto (new dry garden just established), Colchester Castle and zoo, the Stour Estuary, the historic towns of Ipswich and Colchester and also the lovely Suffolk villages which are a short drive away - we have suggested 'day trips' by car to visit the most interesting and also recommend the bracing air of Walton on the Naze and the seaside towns of quiet and elegant Frinton or noisy, bustling Clacton with its pier and candyfloss (if that is appealing to you!).

Full English breakfast is almost a must, but of course vegetarian and continental options are always available, or you are welcome to a mixture of the two! We have our own chickens to lay your eggs and use local English produce as far as possible. We look forward to welcoming you!
