Lynton House Bed & Breakfast

Lynton House is situated in the pretty hamlet of Church End on the edge of Shalford Village and is 5 minutes drive from Unex Towerlands Equestrian Centre, 8 minutes from Braintree and Bocking and 25 minutes from Stansted Airport.

We are conveniently situated to all the local wedding and conference venues of Spains Hall, Fennes Estate, High Barn, Gosfield Hall, Hedingham Castle and Leez Priory and the lovely villages of Finchingfield, Great Bardfield, Wethersfield, the exclusive educational village of Felsted, Stebbing, and the ancient towns of Thaxted and Saffron Walden.

Lynton House has two double rooms and one twin room all of which are equipped with electric blankets, dressing tables and stools, flat screen digital televisions with remotes, hairdryers, bath robes, towels and toiletries and washbasins. All rooms have thermostatically controlled central heating and enjoy lovely views of open countryside.

For the added comfort of our guests there is a separate large guest lounge with picture windows, overlooking the patio, gardens and lovely views of open countryside. The lounge has sumptuous reclining settees, wide screen digital television, broadband internet and tea and coffee making facilities.

Lynton House has its own resident licensed private hire car and driver, which can be booked when making a reservation. Advanced bookings are strongly recommended.

Our local pub, The George, only a short walk away provides excellent food should you require an evening meal.

Lynton House is a non-smoking establishment but guests are welcome to use the garden or patio should the wish.

We regret we are unable to accommodate children under the age of 10, or pets.

We accept credit/debit cards, cash or cheques.
