A working arable farm which provides comfortable ground floor accommodation in a converted barn set in the beautiful Essex countryside, conveniently located for access to Stansted Airport and popular wedding venues such as Maidens Barn, Reid Rooms and The Barn Theatre. Here you can enjoy a good night's sleep before taking in the stunning panoramic views of the open fields over a full English breakfast. Guests can take time to explore the sights of the local area, including the delightful market town of Great Dunmow, or they can head off to close-by cities such as London or Cambridge. “A very comfortable and enjoyable stay. “Had a fantastic time, such a beautiful place, only wish we could of stayed longer!” Comfortable accommodation is provided in ground floor units in a converted barn and comprises of two double and two twin rooms, all of which can take an extra bed or cot. All rooms have en-suite facilities and are furnished to a high standard. No smoking throughout. There is ample parking. All rooms have;

We have recently been awarded the Visit Britain Breakfast Award, which recognises guest houses and hotels that 'have gone the extra mile to ensure the breakfast will exceed expectations'. Guests enjoy a hearty full English breakfast in the conservatory while taking in the stunning panoramic views of the surrounding Essex countryside.

The majority of our ingredients are sourced locally and for those leaving early we provide a continental breakfast to eat in your room or to take away.

Breakfast is served between 7am and 8.30am on weekdays and between 7am and 9am on weekends and bank holidays. Puttocks Farm is a working arable farm of 117 acres set in peaceful surroundings on the outskirts of the lovely market town of Great Dunmow and only 8 miles from Stansted Airport. Until 2003 we raised beef cattle but now our only animals are our chickens, cats and our Labrador - Jasper. You can take a walk through the country lanes, keeping an eye out for the deer and muntjac that regularly pass through the farm.
