Birdwood Villa Farm
A warm welcome awaits you on our arable farm set in the Severn Valley between the City of Gloucester, and market towns of Cinderford, Newent and Ledbury. This is an ideal base for touring the Severn & Wye are, the Forest of Dean, the Cotswolds and Cheltenham Spa.
Our guest accommodation is all en-suite of private bathroom rooms tastefully furnished with colour TVs and hospitality trays.
The house is double glazed, centrally heated, with a solar water system. With a comfortable lounge with TV and books, our wood burning stoves are lit on those chilly nights so that you can relax, unwind and plan for your next day's journey.
We are renowned for our generous English breakfasts, but do cater for any requirements if given previous notice. We are open 365 days of the year, and accept cash, cheques backed up with a current bankers card, up to the guaranteed value, and most credit cards, as methods of payment.
There are many local pubs serving locally produced food at competitive prices, all with children's menus. Some even having senior citizen special offer meals.
There is so much to do around here that you will not want to go home, but there is also the option to visit again and again, which many of our guests do. There is a nature reserve in the next village where if you get up early enough you can hear nightingales sing.
Why not visit Slimbridge and see the numerous water fowl there. This was set up by Sir Peter Scott many years ago and is a credit to him.
Nearby is the pretty village of Frampton on Severn with the longest village green in the British Isles, or Cattle Country to amuse the children nearby. Free WiFi available.
