Nutshell Cottage Bed & Breakfast

Nutshell Cottage in the small rural village of Corse and Staunton is ideally situated on the borders of Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire to provide a central location to visit the picturesque and very different areas of outstanding beauty in this part of the country. It commands a unique central position to the major towns and cities in the region ideal for tourist and business visitor alike, as well as guests attending local events and courses, especially those run at Hartpury College, only 4 miles away.

The cottage dates back to the 16th C but benefits from full 21st century facilities including WIFI and TVs with Freeview throughout and full central heating. There is ample parking in the driveway for most types of vehicles and nearby parking can usually be arranged for larger vehicles (e.g. horse-boxes) if required. The driveway and garden areas have courtesy/security lighting.

Much of the cottage has been recently refurbished and wherever possible, new furnishings were sourced from local suppliers in line with Nutshell Bed & Breakfast policy to support local trade.

Bed & breakfast accommodation comprises a twin and a single bedroom, which share a bathroom and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. All bedrooms have ample hanging and drawer space for clothing and personal items. Towels with towel stands are provided in each room / bathroom and courtesy dressing gowns are provided in the single and twin bedroom. Each room also has a comprehensive Room Guide, which contains local information, maps and places of interest.

Guests are invited to use the dining room, gardens and family lounge in the evening.

French & German are spoken together with a little Spanish and Italian. A wide selection of dictionaries are available the reception/study.

There is a selection of breakfasts, freshly prepared with local produce and cooked to order: traditional Full English Breakfast or any variation, Light Continental Breakfast, Full Continental Breakfast and American Pancakes, all served with juice, cereals and toast and plenty of fresh ground coffee or a selection of teas. Hot or cold beverages may also be served on arrival and in the evening, on request, and glasses and mineral water are provided in rooms.

Evening meals are not included in the tariff but may be available, subject to prior arrangement. There is a good selection of local Pubs and restaurants within a 6-mile radius, including one within easy walking distance. All offer an excellent range of restaurant meals and pub-snacks.

Bookings can be made by telephone, email or letter. Advance bookings require a small deposit and payment is by cash or UK cheque (with valid cheque card). Credit or debit cards are not accepted.
