B&B at The Swan, Thornbury
The Swan was refurbished in August 2011 when Sandra took over The Swan and made many changes the Swan is now a family and pet friendly traditional local pub based in the middle of a bustling high street which serves food daily Monday to Saturday 10.00 TO 8.30pm and Sunday 10.00 to 6.00pm.
There is a self-contained function room ideal for parties and corporate events, skittle alley, beer garden, BT sports and has traditionally styled bed and breakfast rooms which are decorated to suit the era of the building yet with a modern feel in light pale pastel colours overlooking the high street.
The Swan is steeped with character and old fashioned charm. The Swan was the first original coach house in Thornbury and there is only 1 other building that was built prior to The Swan which is Thornbury Castle the back wall dates back to 1659, most of the building are grade listed 1 and 2.
We have raised in total £43,500 for various local charities through our fund-raising events!!
The Swan has been awarded the Regional Community Pub of the year for Bristol / surrounding area and South West Wales - we have won £5000 to put towards a Community Based charity.
During 2014 the Swan won the Gold Award in the Thornbury In Bloom for the array of colour and its arrangements of flowers.
