Twyford is a village 3 miles south of Winchester and just off Junction 11 of the M3.
We have 3 rooms available all ensuite, 2 doubles and 1 twin. Parking is excellent and onsite. There are 2 village pubs/restaurants within walking distance, a village store open 12 hours each day and Shawford railway station (links with Winchester) is 15 minutes walk.
Each of our 3 rooms have colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities with snacks and a mini fridge.
Breakfast is either a full English or continental. Vegetarians catered for.
Winchester is full of history, the cathedral, the great hall with the round table and several museums. There is a market held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Every month we have a farmers market on a Sunday.
Portsmouth is only 25 miles away with Nelson's ship, the Victory and also Henry V111's ship, the Mary Rose. Salisbury and Stonehenge are about 35 miles away and well worth a visit.
Jane Austen's house is about 8 miles away. Southampton Airport is only 5 miles away. Southampton itself is only 10 miles away.
For walkers, Twyford is on the Itchen Way, Monarchs Way and the Clarendon Way is close by. The famous trout stream, the River Itchen runs through Twyford. There is a tennis club in the village also a golf club, both welcoming visitors.
We have a hairdressers in the village and at the village store there are dry cleaning facilities. We have a regular bus service to Winchester from the village. A local taxi service is available when required. Marwell Zoo is 2 miles away and makes a lovely day out.
