Situated one mile from City, Madison House is the ideal location to get around. Our close proximity to Southampton Common means we are in a quiet location and yet only a short walk to the city centre and close to rail and motorway links.

Our rooms are spacious with ensuite bathrooms and all the facilities of the larger chains with the added advantage of a friendly family atmosphere offered in a smaller establishment. There are no hidden extras in our charges. Rates include unlimited use of the Wifi and parking and breakfasts. Breakfasts are cooked fresh to order with quality produce.

A great start to a busy day. Breakfast is served from 7.30am to 9am. If you need to get away early, just let us know and we will make sure that there is a lighter breakfast available for you before you leave. Towels, soap, shampoo and bath/shower products are provided in all rooms.

Many of our clients have business links to Southampton University, Solent University, Southampton Cruise Terminal and Southampton General Hospital. All are not far away. Visitors love West Quay shopping mall and the Mayflower theatre and both are less than a mile away. The New Forest is about 5 miles away and there you can get away from it all and enjoy the vast areas of open space.

The house is Victorian; built in the 1880's. We have tried to preserve some of the features whilst offering the modern conveniences our guests need when travelling away from home. The rooms at the rear of the property overlook the garden and a large wooded area behind. You won't believe you are in the middle of a city.

There are some good pubs nearby that offer good food too. The Bellemoor is a chain offering value for money meals. The Winston is more of a sport pub where you can watch the big matches etc. Should be great for the Olympics in 2012. The Blue Keys is a great place to eat and offers live music (mostly blues and jazz) three times a week.

There is a huge variety of restaurants in Bedford Place which is only a short walk away.
