We offer clean, comfortable and friendly bed and breakfast accommodation with sea views and good locally sourced food. All rooms have free-view digital tv/dvd and access to wireless network are en-suite and have tea/coffee making facilities.
We use Phil Groth's sausages in our breakfasts. Phil is an award winning sausage maker who's titles include; the New Forest, Hampshire and British champion, makes sausages in the shop daily in the local high street.
We have 3 rooms. Two double with sea views and one single. The en-suites are newly completed for 2012.
Double rooms are £60 per room per night for bed and breakfast. £48 for single occupancy.
The single room is £45 per night.
We have off-road parking to the rear of the property.
The house is over a hundred years old and there are one or two low doorways to watch out for and the stairs are a little steep.
In the Second World War, the house was used as a billet for French officers. It is said that General De Gaul visited once. But there is no evidence of this now.
Lee-on-the-Solent is a quiet seaside town facing the Isle of Wight over the Solent. It is popular for watersports including sailing, windsurfing, parasurfing, jetskiing and tennis.
Local towns are Gosport and Fareham. We are only 5 miles from the ferry from Gosport to Portsmouth.
Local attractions include the Submarine Museum, Explosions Museum, HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, the Mary Rose and the New Forrest. There are fabulous shopping, cinema, eating facilities at Gunwarf Quays.
