The Old Rectory Bed & Breakfast
The Old Rectory is a beautifully-proportioned Georgian country house set in extensive wooded grounds located in the historic village of Ewyas Harold in Herefordshire's Golden Valley.
The house is furnished throughout with family heirlooms, antiques, ancestral portraits and sporting memorabilia, creating an atmosphere of comfortable and inviting elegance.
The spacious dining room has an open fire in the winter and open French windows in summer - as does the lovely drawing room, which also has a grand piano for the pleasure of musical guests.
The secluded three-acre garden is fringed with mature trees and includes a lovingly maintained croquet lawn, which guests are invited to enjoy.
The sunny terrace boasts an unusual rotatable summerhouse - an ideal place for morning coffee - and offers tempting views of the surrounding countryside.
Rooms
The Old Rectory has three guest rooms, all beautifully furnished in keeping with the style of the house, and each is equipped with television and tea/coffee making facilities.
The spacious double room overlooks the garden and has an en-suite bathroom. One twin/double has an en-suite shower room, while the other has exclusive use of a private bathroom ( dressing gowns are provided).
The house is centrally heated throughout and there is ample parking. There is also a drying room available to walkers. Dogs are welcome in the garden and to sleep in the owners' car but not invited in the house.
The Area
The area is ideal for walkers, who can begin their journey from the garden gate, and the nearby Black Mountains and border country reward exploration on foot or by car.
The Old Rectory is equidistant from Abergavenny, Hereford and Hay-on-Wye and so encompasses much that appeals to diverse interests and age groups.

Directions
From the A465 turn into Ewyas Harold, follow the road over the Dulas brook and turn left.
Immediately past the Temple Bar Pub turn right into School Road. Turn left just past the school and The Old Rectory is the first house on the right at the top of a long tree-lined drive.
