The Wight Montrene is a wonderful hotel that will definitely make you enjoy a lovely time on the Isle of Wight. All 41 bedrooms (each already fitted with flat screen freeview TV with DVD, hairdryer, hospitality tray and digital safe) have now been refurnished, re-carpeted, redecorated and fitted with “blackout” curtains. During the 10/11 Winter all public areas of the hotel (Dining Room, Bar, Lounges, Stairs and Corridors) were also re-carpeted and a good start made on giving the “front of house” a major modernising facelift. During Winter 11/12 works to the remaining areas of the Dining Room and the “entertainment” end of the Bar were concluded and dimmable LED lighting installed. Tower fans have now been added to our already well equipped bedrooms and free Wifi is available, not only in all public areas but also in the vast majority of bedrooms. Our Restaurant Manageress Wendy Fowler, who has been with the hotel for 10 years, will welcome you to our spacious restaurant which has comfortable seating for 110 diners. It opens for Breakfast at 8.15am (last orders by 9.45am) and for Evening Dinner at 6.30pm (last orders by 8.00pm).

Children may either eat with their parents during that time (choosing from either the adult or child menus) or, if parents prefer, can be served from the children’s menu at 6.00pm – please arrange for early meals with the restaurant staff during breakfast or with Reception at the latest by 5.30pm.

To compliment your meal our wine list offers the choice of some 40 carefully chosen wines from all over the World. They are very economically priced and range between a very drinkable ‘House’ white at £10.50 to an excellent vintage Pouilly Fume at only £21.00 whilst reds are accommodated again from £10.50 through to a superb vintage Chateauneuf du Pape at the incredibly low price of just £32.00. Where possible we maintain stocks of half bottles and a small selection of wine may also be ordered by the glass.
