Bed & Breakfast
Churchfield House is a superb B & B in the centre of the village of Carlton Scroop. It is a single storey family house surrounded by fields and set in lovely quiet gardens where you can relax and where, weather permitting, you can enjoy all meals i.e. breakfast and dinner. The host prides herself in giving her guests good food. Which is locally sourced and/or from the garden only. Lunch and dinner is provided on request and special dietary needs can be catered for.
There are two attractive double rooms, one twin bedded, sharing a bathroom. The second room would be only let to a member of the party/family. There is another double room with en suite but this must be taken for a minimum of two nights. Guests are invited to use the sitting room, which is available for their private use, where a television is included. Guests who have stayed have left many comments particularly the home made jam was ' wonderful’, and that their 'stay was like being with old friends ' and 'thank you for such a warm welcome and treating us as special'.
Carlton Scroop is an ideal spot from which to visit Lincolnshire's finest attractions: the City of Lincoln with its Cathedral and Castle; Belvoir Castle with its jousting competition and Game Fair; Belton House and Burghley House in Stamford for their houses and Horse Trials are all nearby. The birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton’s, he of gravity fame, in Woolsthorpe is nearby. For those who are energetic, there are four golf courses within three miles and one in the village! (Sudbrook Moore, Belton Woods, Belton Park, Stoke Rochford)
Whatever you choose, you can be assured of a warm welcome, comfortable accommodation, and an excellent English breakfast.
