Situated on the A153 Sleaford to Skegness road, the Barn House Bed and Breakfast sits only 200 metres from the river Witham at Tattershall Bridge. There are a total of no less than nine 18 hole golf courses within 15 miles of our location. Woodhall Spa (The Home of English Golf) has two of them and is only 5 miles away.

Also just 18 miles away is the historic City of Lincoln with its magnificent cathedral of which its construction was ordered by William the Conqueror and was for many years the world’s tallest building. It also has one of only 4 remaining copies of the MAGNA CARTA as Bishop Hugh of Lincoln was one of the witnesses at Runnymeade in 1215.

The seaside resort of Skegness is only 28 miles away, just a 50 minute drive with its pier, Natureland, Laserquest, gaming arcades and numerous swimming pools. Only 10 miles away is beautiful Horncastle which can date its routes back to the Romans and even further. It is a picturesque market town with many fascinating antique shops.

The famous Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is only 3 miles away and the aircraft can often be seen each weekend flying over us. The visitor centre is free and for a small cost you can have a tour of the hangar, they currently have the last flying Lancaster Bomber, Dakota Transport Aircraft, two Hurricanes and six Spitfires one of which (The Old Girl) is the last remaining Spitire still flying that took part in the Battle of Britain. This is a must for enthusiasts and can be followed by the short drive to Woodhall Spa and the Petwood Hotel which was requisitioned by the RAF in 1942. When it was decided that the 617 ‘Dambusters Squadron’ should be made into a special duties squadron which would work in isolation and secrecy, Woodhall airfield was selected as the operational base and the Dambusters Memorial stands on the high street.

Tattershall Kart Centre is 3 miles away and is ideal for those who enjoy the thrill of taking part in a race, group bookings are welcome.

Just 1 mile away is Tattershall Lakes, 265 acres to have fun in with activities such as golf, Jet Skiing, peddle boating, wake boarding, fishing or just relaxing next to the water and having a BBQ.
