The Cliftonville Hotel Cromer
Built in 1897, the Cliftonville Hotel occupies the premier position on the Cromer seafront and all 30 en-suite bedrooms benefit from stunning views of the sea and town. Many of the original Edwardian features remain, including the 'Gone with the Wind' style staircase in the main lobby and beautiful stained glass windows and doors, as well as the classic Minstrels' Gallery.
Now in the 21st century the hotel has introduced an all day coffee shop and bar with a wide selection of speciality teas and coffees, pastries and light meals. Bolton's Bistro specialises in fresh fish dishes as well as offering a variety of meat and vegetarian options, providing guests with a more relaxed and informal atmosphere in which to dine. The Ballroom Lounge reserved exclusively for guests is decorated with hand painted murals and provides an area of calm tranquility at the end of a busy day.
Open all year round the Cliftonville Hotel has established an enviable reputation as one of North Norfolk's leading hotels. A lifetime of practical experience and understanding is the very essence of running a busy and successful hotel and the Cliftonville is run by such a family. Supported by a dedicated and conscientious staff, the family has an unceasing enthusiasm for ensuring that every guest enjoys their stay.
The Edwardian elegance of the hotel has been skillfully retained, whilst the comfort and standards that guests have come to expect from a top class family run hotel are self evident.
All of our 30 en-suite bedrooms benefit from spectacular sea views and have been thoughtfully decorated in a classical style to emphasise the elegance of the Edwardian period. Every room has a colour television, clock radio, direct dial telephone and tea and coffee making facilities.
