Silverstone House
Sue and Trevor welcome you to Silverstone House which is a 4 storey 9 bedroomed Victorian property in Great Yarmouth.
Both of us have been in the catering industry for many years with Trevor being a chef for more than 15 years.
We have a 3 star rating from Visit Britain - Quality in Tourism assessment, and a 4 star rating for health and safety and food hygiene.
We welcome families, couples (all), business people, contractors and workers. Whether you would like to stay for a short break or for a number of weeks!!
The coach station is located 1 road behind the guest house. The train station and the heliport are 5-10 minutes in a taxi.
We charge per adult per night or we have a weekly rate if you stay for 7 nights. Children under 2 years of age are free of charge. Children aged between 2 years and 16 years are half price and children 16 years and over are charged as an adult.
There is a good mix of double, twin and family rooms all of which are en-suite with showers.
There is a double room on the ground floor; on the 1st floor there are 2 x double rooms and 2 x family rooms with 2 x family, 1 x double and 1 x single room on the 2nd floor. Our family rooms have a double bed and 1 single bed, some rooms can accommodate a cot.
Facilities in the rooms include, freeview colour TV, mini fridge (family rooms only), alarm clock, safe and a hairdryer. A beverage tray is also in the room with tea/coffee, hot chocolate, sugars and UHT milk; fresh milk is also available on request. All bedrooms have thermostatic controlled central heating.
Wifi is available.
Smokers and non- smokers are welcome
We provide towels for each person and shower caps, shower gel, shampoo, soaps and shoe shine in the bathrooms.
We don't charge a single room supplement, so if you travel alone or want a different room to your travel partner then a double room can be yours at no extra charge.
Room and front door keys are provided, with no restrictions, so feel free to come and go as you please.
Iron and ironing boards are available on the 1st and 2nd floor landings.
Cots with the bedding, high chairs and a cot rail is available with prior notice.
Breakfast is served between 8am - 9am in the dining room. A full English breakfast and lighter alternatives are available along with a choice of cereals, grapefruit and prunes.
If you have any special dietary requirements these can be catered for with prior notice.
There are a number of brochures and leaflets in the main reception and on the 1st floor landing detailing things to do and see in the surrounding area.
Access statement: there are 9 steps up to the front of the building, 16 steps up to the 1st floor, 16 steps up to the 2nd floor with no lift. Breakfast is served on the lower ground floor and there are 16 steps going down to that level from the ground floor.
