Redroofs is the beautiful family home of Jane & Marco Baben. It is on the edge of Helmsley (3 minutes walk to the Town Centre) and on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. York, Leeds, Harrogate, Scarborough and Whitby are all within one hours drive away. You will enjoy the extra touch of luxury that we have to offer together with our 'Old Fashioned Service' to make your stay special.
Local attractions include; The Pickering Steam Train which stops at Goathland (Heartbeat Country) Steam Rallies at Helmsley and Pickering; Sealed Knot venues at Helmsley Castle; Thirsk ( local Town of James Herriot); Monks Park Farm (a perfect place to spend a day with all the family) and of course the seaside towns of Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay and Staithes.
It is the perfect starting off point for numerous walks.
Cyclists are also welcome and bicycles may be kept in the garage.
There are plenty of places to eat and drink in Helmsley and there are many more very good hostelries in all the local villages.
Whether you wish to stay for one night or several, you will enjoy the seclusion of our interesting gardens and with a pot of tea or coffee you may rediscover the pleasure of a quiet rural setting away from the hustle and bustle of the Town.
Cars may be parked on our drive or on the very quiet road adjacent to the house.
