Mount Pleasant Farm
It is 3 miles from the market town of Richmond and just outside the peaceful village of Whashton.
The stone farmhouse was built in 1850 and still retains much of its original character. We now farm sheep and beef cattle, and offer warm hospitality and personal attention to all our guests.
Bed and Breakfast Accommodation is in our cosy en-suite cottage style rooms in a converted stable. Each has its own front door. The Stable and Cart House are double rooms, The Piggery is adapted for wheelchair users, and The Bull Pen is a two room suite just right for families with four poster bed and whirlpool bath. All have good heating for the winter months, colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities.
A Farmer's Breakfast starts the day in the beamed farmhouse dining room overlooking the gardens and includes our own award winning sausages, dry cured bacon and black pudding, local free-range eggs and a selection of home-made preserves.
For those requiring Self Catering Accommodation, The Parlour and The Dairy are two beautifully converted self-contained cottages each with two bedrooms, one twin and one double (all bed linen provided), open plan lounge and dining room with three piece suite and colour TV, pine dining table and chairs. The kitchens are fully fitted with full size cooker, microwave, fridge, ample cupboards and work surfaces, crockery and utensils, and both cottages have a shower room fitted to the highest standard.
For evening meals there is a choice of excellent local hospitality within walking distance of the farm.
