Abbey Steps Tea Room and Guest House is a small, family run, business in the historic town of Whitby, North Yorkshire. Our rooms are light and airy with fabulous sea views.

We are ideally situated at the very foot of the world famous 199 steps, in the heart of the old town, full of quirky charm and historic buildings. Perfectly placed, close to all the attractions and places of interest that Whitby has to offer. Whitby Abbey, the Whalebone Arch, the Captain Cook Museumand the Bark Endeavour experience to name but a few.
Whitby is a thriving, former fishing town, offering events to suit all tastes throughout the year, making it more than just a summer destination.
Famous for its Whitby Gothic weekends, Steampunk Weekends, music festivals of all genres and the Whitby Regatta.
Why not book a mini break during the Autumn/Winter months to view the Illuminated Abbey or behold the December Krampus Run.
