The Homestead

The Homestead is a renovated cottage dating back to pre 1720.
We offer two double rooms one with ensuite and one single, the single and double room share our reproduction Victorian bathroom with beautiful roll top bath ideal for a real soak after a day out, or a day at work.

All our rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and T.V. and D.V.D. As well as extremely comfortable rooms we also offer an extra special breakfast using local produce. Our breakfast comprises, fresh juices, fruit, yoghurts, toasted home made bread with local jam and honey, and a cooked breakfast of your choice, using meat, eggs and vegetables from our local farm and butcher. Breakfast is taken in our tropical conservatory, amongst the Bourgonvillias, Bannana trees, Hibiscus, and passion flowers.

Byfield is conveniently situated for many towns, Northampton, Oxford approx 20 miles Banbury, Daventry,approx 8 miles. We are also close to several wedding venues, Fawslay Hall, Crockwell farm, Hellidon Lakes, Staverton Park. The Cotswold towns of Stow on the wold, Moreton in the Marsh, Chipping Camden, Chipping Norton, Boughton on the water and Broadway are close by, as are Stratford on Avon, Warwick, and Leamington. On our immediate doorstep are many beautiful walks, Boddington reservoir with walking and fishing facilities.

Silverstone racetrack is also close by.
Cropredy festival held in August is also a real draw for guests, those who prefer to stay in comfort rather than camp, we are just 5 miles from the venue.

For those who love to shop, Milton Keynes is approx 20 miles, Bicester village about 15 miles. There are also many beautiful gardens and stately homes that may be visited in the area, Upton House, Farnborough hall, Waddesdon Manor, Broughton Castle, Warmington herb farm, Oxford botanical gardens, Stowe landscape gardens, Compton Verney hours.

For eating out, there is a wide choice of restaurants and pubs in the area. There are Indian and Chinese restaurants in Woodford Halse 1 mile away. Pubs providing good food at The Royal Oak in Eydon, The Griffon at Chipping warden, The Fox and hounds at Charwelton, The Plough at Upper Boddington and The carpenters arms at lower Boddington. The Inn at Farnborough, Fawsley Hall, The Butchers arms at Priors Hardwick all offer that special meal for all occasions, (booking will be necessary)
