Our beautifully refurbished guest annexe/bed and breakfast, here at 'The Retreat' offers lovely, comfortable accommodation. At the right time of year guests are welcome to use the garden and in August/September help themselves to ripe produce, especially from the huge fig tree, just perfect for breakfast.
'The Retreat' is close to a village supermarket, village store/ post office, three village pubs (The Red Lion just a few doors away), restaurants, Crick Marina with 270 narrowboat moorings on the Grand Union Canal and a garden centre all within a 5-minute walk.
A peaceful rural location located well away from the motorways and railway lines but only one mile from M1 Jn18.
This central village location offers guests comfortable accommodation in attractively renovated former cycle shop. We have two guest bedrooms ‘The Garden Room’ and ‘The Hayloft’ both en-suite. All guest linen and towels supplied with complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. Guests also have access to a comfortable and modernised guest sitting room, and quaint original laundry room housing a small fridge, microwave and toaster, perfect for making a packed lunch or light snack, especially useful for guests booked in for longer stays.
We welcome leisure visitors, we also welcome the business traveller, particularly those who are looking for a homely base near work in the area and want something different from a hotel.

The Grand Union Canal and Crick Marina with berths for 270 traditional narrow-boats,host venue for the annual Crick Boat Show and Waterways Festival in May is just 8 minutes walk.
Althorp (ancestral home of the late Princess Diana), Canons Ashby, Holdenby House, Stanford Hall, Cottesbrooke Hall and Gardens, Lamport Hall, the Kilworth House Theatre, Kelmarsh Hall and Coton Manor all within half hours drive. Silverstone 21 miles.
