Katerina's Guest House is ideally situated for the amenities of pretty Rothbury Village - and the beautiful countryside of the Coquet Valley. Its central position makes it the perfect place from which to explore the beautiful Cheviot Hills, Heritage Coast and Castles, Lindisfarne, also known as Holy Island because of it's history as a retreat, Hadrian's Wall, Alnwick Castle, famous for the Harry Potter films, and the new Alnwick Gardens, Cragside House/Estate, Wallington House/Estate and even the Scottish Borders.

Rothbury itself is a delightful venue. It has a lovely river bank suitable for a gentle stroll and ideal for children to play or paddle. The village centre is beautifully decorated with flower beds and baskets and the streets are lined with unique shops specialising in quality goods with a difference.

Katerina's Guest House occupies a building which was originally part of an historic Coaching Inn. It now has three beautiful en-suite bedrooms, each decorated and colour co-ordinated to enhance their individual character. Some have original stone fireplaces/ beamed ceilings; all with 4-poster beds, remote control TV, superbly stocked tea-tray (with home-made scones!) , mini-fridge with fresh milk(!), hairdryers, a range of bathroom toiletries and many other little perks for your enjoyment.

We offer wide and interesting choices for breakfast; licensed evening menus are also available - sample Cath's home made bread, 'whisky porridge', vegetarian nutballs, or Steak Katerina - an original recipe from the bygone days of her Egon Ronay recommended restaurant!
