Set in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and nestling at the foot of the Mendip Hills, the pretty village of Draycott offers an ideal base for exploring, walking and cycling. Harold's House B&B has views over the Somerset levels.
Draycott is situated between the village of Cheddar and the historic cathedral city of Wells. Draycott has many footpaths, which take you along the breath taking scenery of the Mendip hills.
Draycott is the ideal base from which to explore the nearby cities of Bath and Bristol, which are approximately 25 miles away. Both Bath and Bristol have park and ride facilities available.
Cheddar has many local shops, cafe's and restaurants. Sample real Cheddar cheese and see how it is made, Explore Cheddar gorge and caves as well as climbing Jacobs ladder.
The city of Wells, the smallest city in England is just 10 minutes drive away. You are able to explore the beautiful cathedral as well as sample local produce at the local markets. Market days are Wednesday's and Saturdays. Wells also offers a variety of restaurants, cafes and bars and shops.
Glastonbury is 30 minutes away by car. There you will find the ancient tor, Glastonbury abbey and explore the legend of King Arthur.
There is lots to see around the local area or if you prefer to have a relaxing weekend, then we recommend you stay in our luxury ensuite king sized room complete with lounge area, TV. and tea/ coffee making facilities.
