Wells is a Medieval City which gets it's name from the springs which bubble up in the Bishops Palace gardens still today
Wells Cathedral, Vicars Close and the Bishops Palace should not be missed by any visitor to the West Country who should watch the Swans on the Place moat pull the rope to ring the bell for their food.
Wells is situated in central Somerset so is an ideal location to tour this County.
Some of the local attractions are Wookey Hole Caves a firm favourite with visiting families wishing to see the resident witch.
Glastonbury Abbey and Chalice Well famous for there association with the legend of Kind Aurthur.
Cheddar Caves and the famous Cheddar Gorge.
The Somerset Levels with it's history and wild life why not book a break in the Autumn / early Winter and come and see the murmation of starlings (fascinating to watch the birds incredible aerobatics).
Just 20 miles away is the wonderful Georgian City of Bath (UNESCO World Heritage City).
