The Laurels, near Alton in Staffordshire is a quality B&B less than a 5 minute drive away from Alton Towers Hotel, the Alton Towers Theme Park and close to other attractions, such as Trentham Gardens, World of Wedgwood, Dovedale, The National Memorial Arboretum and much, much more. This makes us the ideal B&B, not only for visiting this fantastic theme park, but the Peak District National Park, Potteries and great days out in Staffordshire too.
Situated in the picturesque village of Oakamoor, on the side of the Churnet Valley, we enjoy fabulous views across the valley, the adjacent fields and nearby woodland. which gives our bed and breakfast a real rural feel.
We may be perfect if you’re looking for a B&B near Alton Towers, but if theme park fun isn’t your thing, we’re perfectly situated to enjoy the beautiful countryside surrounding us, plus a local golf course, Pugin’s Gem, Uttoxeter Racecourse, The Potteries and dozens of other attractions.
From the fabulous Churnet Valley, Dovedale, Tissington Trail, Staffordshire Way, Manifold Valley or The Peak District, you’ll be spoilt for choice if you love walking or cycling.

Guest rooms at The Laurels consist of comfortable doubles, twins, family rooms and even a sumptuous four poster, perfect for that romantic getaway. All our rooms have en suite shower rooms with large, fluffy towels and are equipped with a hair dryer, colour televisions and tea/coffee making facilities. We pride ourselves on providing friendly, warm and scrupulously clean accommodation with a tasty breakfast served every morning.
Our Superior Double and Four Poster rooms have the addition of King Size beds, complimentary toiletries, a Nescafe Dulce Gusto coffee maker and generously sized ensuites.
