Long Copse Bed & Breakfast

Long Copse Bed and Breakfast provides a warm welcome for all guests. Walkers and children are always welcome, as are cyclists who can make use of our secure storage facilities.

Long Copse is widely considered to be one of the finest Arts and Crafts Houses in Surrey.
The eminent Victorian artist, George Watts, who lived nearby, thought that 'Long Copse was the most beautiful house in Surrey'.

Long Copse is also situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, making for the perfect B&B experience. It is nestled on the South face of the North Downs with views all the way to the South Downs. Eighty miles of footpaths & bridle ways, begin at the entrance gate.

To add to the scenic quality we have a small flock of Jacob sheep that graze the fields, provide a yearly crop of lambs and give great enjoyment.

Within easy access are pubs, picturesque villages, such as Shere, lovely churches, & the magnificent National Trust properties of Polesden Lacy, Hatchlands and Clandon. Guildford, Dorking and Horsham provide all the amenities of larger historic towns.

Within an hour or so are many more historic places such as Hampton Court, Chartwell, Hever Castle, Chawton, Sissinghurst, Winchester, Brighton and Chichester, The Weald & South Down Museum at Singleton and, of course, all that London has to offer.

Views from Long Copse sweep down over the Weald as far as the South Downs. Behind the House the Surrey Hills rise up providing wonderful walks and further views across the magnificent countryside. A small flock of Jacob Sheep help keep the grass in order and provide an added interest, especially at lambing time.

Long Copse is conveniently situated mid-way between Heathrow and Gatwick Airports. The journey should take 45 minutes to an hour. Train access to London and the South is from Guildford, Horsham or Clandon. The stations are about a 20 minute drive.

The B&B is open all year with rates of £45 for a single and £70 for a double.

The included breakfast menu contains a variety of fruit, cereal, yoghurt, toast, muffins, croissants as well as fried breakfasts and blueberry pancakes on request.

Hot drinks include tea, coffee and hot chocolate, with additional drink making facilities in the rooms.

Vegetarians can also be catered for on request.

Detailed directions to the bed and breakfast can be found on our website.
