Arundels Norman Castle. Built in 1086 by Roger de Montgomery. Still stands guard over the Arun Valley. It is the second largest castle in the country. The town, nestling between the river and castle walls, contains many narrow winding streets and interesting individual shops.

The Roman City of Chichester was founded in AD43 and still has evidence of its past history. Chichester Harbour is an area of outstanding Natural Beauty popular with sailors birdwatchers and walkers.

The South Downs Way is only a few miles away with wonderful walks and views of the county.
