Les Fontaines Country House, B & B & Self Catering, Aveyron, SW France
Les Fontaines is a stunning 18th century manor house set amongst two acres of woodland and countryside. Our very well equipped, cosy cottage sleeps 4 comfortably and is perfect for those who prefer to self cater. Alternatively, we can offer you luxury accommodation in our main house on a bed and breakfast basis.
Our 12 x 6m swimming pool is bordered by mature oak and ash trees that offer welcome dappled shade during the hotter summer months and is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a hard day's sightseeing/househunting.
The Surrounding Area
There are many fine restaurants nearby where you will discover superb local cuisine and the fine wines of the region (Cahors/Gaillac/Marcillac).
Canoeing and kayaking are very popular on the rivers of the Lot, Aveyron and Cele. Other possibilities include water-skiing, rafting and fishing. Relaxing riverboat cruises are available on the Lot for the slightly less energetic!
With medieval villages and castles perched on hilltops in every direction, Les Fontaines is the ideal base from which to explore our lovely region. Rocamadour, Sarlat, ALbi and Toulouse are just a few of the wonderful places to spend a day. The world's highest bridge at Millau is only one hour 30 minutes drive away.
Nearer to home, we offer free mountain bikes for guests' use, beautiful country walks and wildlife galore!
