Domaine de Maran is located between the Pyrenees Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea in the heart of the Languedoc area, famous for its cultural heritage and wine growing. The Cité de Carcassonne (the fortified medieval gallo-roman castle town) and the Canal du Midi, both registered landmarks under the UNESCO world heritage sites, are just 4 km away.

The Abbeys of Fontfroide, Lagrasse and Saint Hilaire are close to the estate. The vineyards of the Corbieres and Minervois dominate the area, while highlighting the famous cathar castles. In 2005, a wine from Minervois was awarded as 'The Best Wine in the World'!!

Domaine de Maran is an ancient family wine estate. The main building was rebuilt at the beginning of the XIXth century on a site inhabited since the XIIIth century.

The estate offers two bed and breakfast rooms. You arrive through a two hectare park, where you can hear the song of the cicadas sheltered in the hundred-year-old Mediterranean trees while the walkways, swimming-pool, ornamental lake and rose garden will catch your eyes....

We have chosen to limit the number of rooms at two, emphasizing quality over quantity, so as to be more attentive to our guests while also giving you the chance to enjoy the peace and tranquility of Domaine de Maran.
On arrival, we will welcome you to our guest rooms : 'The Yellow Room' and the 'Tower Room'.

Both bedrooms with individual styles are decorated with ancient embroidered household linen, keeping the charm of the 'family houses'.

You will also find a tea and coffee hospitality tray.

Both rooms have en-suite bathroom and toilets.

The price per room, per night, for two people is : 110 euros, breakfast included.

We do not accept a third person in the bedrooms (baby, child or adult).

We do not accept pets/animals.

Golfers will be happy to know that our 40 hectares estate adjoins the magnificent 18 holes golf course of Carcassonne.

Gourmets will appreciate eight Michelin-stared restaurants nearby and one 3 star restaurant within easy driving distance.
