Chambres d'hotes in the rolling creuse countryside of the Limousin, France

We are a small family run guest house in the heart of the beautiful rolling countryside of the Limousin, France.

We have 4 bedrooms and all are en-suite rooms, all have complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary toiletries, shower robes and ironing facilities.3 of our rooms are doubles ( 1 with an extra single bed to sleep 3) and we have a family room with a double bed up to 4 single beds and a travel cot. All our bedrooms have very recently been refurbished.

We have a large dining room for breakfast and evening meals and large sitting room with French windows leading to the patio and garden, where meals are often taken in the summer months.

Our oak panelled games room with Nintendo Wii and selection of games, cd player, large television with DVD player and English or French channels, a selection of board games and books and free internet access. We have also installed an above ground splash pool in our large garden for those hot summer days.

The village of Saint Germain Beaupre is quiet and peaceful with a lovely xii century church, chateau and local bar, and there are miles and miles of uninterrupted traffic free walking.

We are in fact on the St. Compestella pilgrimage route, this passes directly in front of our house. Not too far from the large town of La Souterraine where there are bars and restaurants to suite everyone as well as shops and sightseeing or the city of Limoges, famous for its porcelain.

This part of the Limousin has been affectionately nicknamed 'the lake district of France' and we are close to 3 of these lakes with all the activities and benefits they can offer.

Keen walkers and cyclists will find a map just outside the village church to some well established walks through the village and surrounding area.
For those of you with an adventurous spirit just take your pick of the many roads, bridle paths, tracks and lanes that crisscross this beautiful rural hamlet!

Our bedrooms have recently been updated , and include complimentary tea and coffee, shower robes and toiletries, iron and ironing board, radio alarm clock and hair dryer.

Bedroom 1 double, has access to a balcony overlooking the village square and church. This room has ensuite shower facilities.

Bedroom 2 double, a spacious room with ensuite shower facilities. We can also arrange 2 fold up beds for children as well as the double bed in this room.

Bedroom 3 double bedroom plus 1 single bed, this has an ensuite bath with shower facilities.

Bedroom 4 is our family room and has a double and up to 4 single beds, we also supply a travel style cot and high chair for your use free of charge.

Maison Durran is located near Limoges, in the centre of France, just off one of the main European motorways (Junction 20 on the A20/E09 from the north or junction 23A from the south), we make an ideal stop off point if you are on a long journey to Spain.
