La Maison Joulin
Our farmhouse is a haven of quiet just 10 minutes from SAUMUR, within easy reach of the many CHATEAUX OF THE LOIRE VALLEY, and the vineyards of renowned LOIRE WINES, such as SAUMUR CHAMPIGNY.
Since buying our ancient farm in February 98, we have been concerned to restore it using the natural materials our predecessors would have used at the time of building, such as terracotta, slate, Loire sand, douglas pine, chestnut for the parquet and whitewash for the walls.We have also incorporated new natural materials such as hemp and cotton for the insulation and we have used non-toxic paint for the decoration. We believe that the environment in which we live is as important as what we eat for our health and happiness.
The Pine Room
The charming cocooning room under the roof. A room on the first floor with private entrance and independent car park, for 2 people. Double bed kink size (160 X 200). Private bathroom and WC. This room looks onto the balcony and the garden.

The morning, we are pleased to receive you with our table family. The breakfast is composed of biological products certified with the choice: bread cooks every morning by Christian, coffee, tea, chocolate, butter, honey, apple juice, pear, orange. En any user-friendliness!
In the village of Chenehutte we have tree restaurants:
- one open-air café at 15mn on foot
- one restaurant in a hotel Relais et Châteaux ' Le Prieure'.
- and one typical in a troglodyte caves.
In Saumur (10mn by car) we indicate you a friendly address at all price.
