Les Chardonnereux Chambre ŕ Beaune
Graham and Candida offer you a warm welcome to their home – Les Chardonnereux.
Les Chardonnereux is a large traditional French house, which was built between 1900 and 1910 for a local wine making family (the climat which bears the same name can still be located in the vineyards to the rear of the house). Being only a short 5 minute stroll to the Old Town and now within an even shorter stroll to two Michelin starred restaurants Les Chardonnereux is the perfect location for your stay in Beaune.
Guest accommodation is a comfortable suite comprising a double bedroom with balcony, shower room and separate WC. There is a lovely sunny drawing room and a comfortable dining room which are exclusively for guests' use.
In fine weather breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea can be served in the geranium filled shady courtyard or leafy garden (where the resident Standard Poodle, Monty, can usually be found snoozing in the sunshine). In inclement weather the dining room is warm and welcoming.
Dinner is available by prior arrangement and Graham, who has many years of culinary experience, will tempt you with local delicacies such as boeuf bourguignone, coq au vin and jambon persille as well as more traditional fare.
For those of you wishing to have some help with their visit to the region our service ‘Burgundy a la Carte’ may be of interest. Graham and Candida have established an extensive network amongst the wine making community and offer tailor-made itineraries including wine tasting tours to secluded vineyards situated off the usual tourist track. They will also be happy to assist with route recommendations and onwards travel arrangements to ensure your holiday is the best.
